The Roscoe Wind Complex
The
Roscoe Wind Complex is actually four projects in one. All four
phases (Roscoe, Champion, Pyron, and Inadale) are operational making the
complex the largest onshore wind farm in the world, with more
than 600 installed wind turbines capable of generating 781.5 MW.
Inadale Wind Farm
Completed
in the Summer of 2009, the Inadale Wind Farm has 197 Mitsubishi
1.0 megawatt wind turbines. Located near Roscoe, Texas and
spanning Fisher, Scurry, Mitchell and Nolan Counties, the energy from
this wind farm will provide enough clean, quiet wind energy for
approximately 59,000 American homes.
